Falling for Boots!

Madewell

Now that Fall is upon us, I am absolutely coveting all the adorable boots that are popping up everywhere.  There's so much variety- tall boots, short boots, in between, brown, black, camel, suede, nubuck- the list goes on!  Personally, I am falling for short ones of all different shades...

I really like the proportions on The Barnwood Boot from Madewell.  Although, DV by Dolce Vita also has a number of really nice options out there at the moment.  I actually ordered a pair of the Java (below), but they are on backorder until November, so I'm not really sure yet if they'll turn out to be everything I dreamed of and more.

Perhaps my biggest crush is on these North Country Boots from Schuler & Sons.  I LOVE them!  But given the $258 price tag and my need to pay rent next month, I can't quite justify the splurge.  Schuler & Sons just knows how to make really lovely shoes.  I love the detailing on the toe of the Wynonna Booties.  Plus, the color is just such a perfect shade of camel-toned suede.  Of course, I love that the Two-Toned Booties look well-built enough to walk around all day, while still maintaining a lady-like charm.

Finally, this pair of Drew Ankle Boots from Rachel Comey has the most seductive burnt sienna leather I think I've ever seen, which is not surprising considering they were made in Peru.  They look so soft and comfy, and yet they have such an elegant shape and heel.  Even the seams evoke a beautifully tailored look.  At $408 they are by far the priciest of this bunch.  However, if I ever had the spending money to spring for a pair of these, I'm pretty sure I would treasure them like an heirloom!
